Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Jenn. I started as a generalist virtual assistant and learned I could do a little of everything. For a while, that felt like the point. Business owners needed help, and I was happy to pitch in wherever it was needed.

But the more I worked alongside small business owners, the more I noticed something—they didn’t need someone to only cross things off a list. What they really needed was someone who could look at the whole picture, spot what wasn’t working, and know what to do about it. Without needing to be told what to do and where to look. They needed an implementor. Someone with enough experience to be trusted, and enough range to be useful across the business.

So I made a decision: stop being a generalist, and start building something better.

I gained more expertise and expanded. I connected with specialists and built a crew of skilled, experienced service providers who each brought something I couldn’t offer alone. And Beachcomber Business Solutions became what it is today—a support crew for small business owners who are ready for real, strategic help.

The name came from something that has always resonated with me. A beachcomber walks the shoreline with patience and intention. They’re not rushing everything, not forcing anything. They’re carefully sifting through what the tide has brought in to find things of real value. That’s exactly how I approach every client relationship. 

We don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. We take a careful look at where you are, and together, create a clear path to where you’re going.

When I’m not building systems or supporting clients, you’ll find me with my toes in the sand, playing with my dogs in the backyard, or reading personal development, historical fiction, or some juicy crime thriller.

Jenn is the founder of BBS and the strategic force behind every client engagement. Her background spans operations, systems, marketing, copywriting, and customer service—and degrees in psychology and business administration that shape how she thinks about people and businesses. She built BBS from a solo VA practice into a support crew because she believed small business owners deserved better than figuring it all out alone. She’s the first one in and the last one out—and the reason every project gets done right.

Denise keeps BBS pointed in the right direction—not in terms of strategy, but in terms of who we are. As a seasoned business coach, she brings a sharp eye for people and culture to everything we do. She helps us identify the right talent when we’re growing the crew, works through any friction in how we show up for clients and each other, and makes sure the values we talk about are actually the ones we’re living. Having someone in this role isn’t common for a business of our size, but that’s exactly why we think it matters.
